Ron Patberg

Ron Patberg, CFP®, serves as Senior Investment Advisor, Business Development Coach, and Partner. Ron graduated from Hanover College in 1990 with a BA degree in Business Administration and a minor in Economics. He played basketball and baseball during his time at Hanover. Following graduation, he moved to Columbus, Indiana, where he began his career as a Trust Administrator in Retirement Plan Services at Irwin Union Bank. His responsibilities included managing $60 million in defined benefit and defined contribution plan (profit sharing and money purchase plans) assets, holding educational investment seminars for plan participants, and maintaining regulatory plan compliance.

In April 1998, he successfully completed the CFP Board requirements and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. Once he obtained this designation in April of 1998, Ron joined Irwin Union Advisory Services. IUAS was a fee-only financial planning firm providing investment management, estate, retirement, educational, and tax planning. He successfully grew his business in 16 years to include over 100 clients and approximately $100 million in assets under management.

Beyond the Office

He has two girls, Ali and Kenzie. Ron, his wife, RaNae, and his children attend Westside Community Church. 

Highlights

Ron has coached basketball for 23 years at various levels. Currently, he serves as junior varsity girls basketball coach at Columbus North High School.

He serves as a board member of the Bartholomew County School Foundation and President of the alumni association of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at Hanover College.

Ron has also served in various capacities on the boards of Foundation For Youth and Children, Inc. in Columbus.
