Alex Spainhoward, CFP®, RICP®, CDFA® joined Donaldson Capital Management in May 2019 and serves as Lead Investment Advisor. Alex grew up in the Evansville, Indiana area, where he graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in 2011. In 2015, he graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance with dual concentrations in Financial Planning and Financial Management.
Alex began his career with Northwestern Mutual in 2016 as an Associate Financial Representative. He assisted advisors with the creation of financial plans, investment analysis, and client meeting preparation. Alex advanced to the role of Associate Wealth Management Advisor, where he gained valuable experience in the investment and insurance fields.
In 2019, Alex successfully completed the CFP® Board’s requirements for certification and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Then, in 2021, Alex earned his Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation to help individuals at or near retirement build a plan to meet their retirement income and other financial goals. Most recently, Alex received his Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) certificate to serve as a financial advocate through the divorce process, equipping clients with a long-term impact evaluation of the division of their marital estate.
Alex and his wife, Ashley, live in Evansville with their energetic Maltipoo, Cayde. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, being active in Orange Theory Fitness, playing golf, watching sports, and going on adventures by traveling to new places.
