Preston is a 2015 graduate of Indiana University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with minors in Business and Political Science. While at IU, Preston was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society and held a Teaching Assistant position with the Department of Economics.
Preston first joined DCM as a summer intern in 2014. After earning his degree, he spent his first year and a half as a Portfolio Support Services Analyst. In this role, Preston served our clients by conducting trading operations and rebalancing client portfolios.
Preston has since been promoted to Assistant Portfolio Manager & Analyst and is a Partner at DCM. He serves clients by providing the Investment Policy Committee (IPC) with macroeconomic, company, and market research. He works to ensure the IPC has the necessary information to aid in their rigorous decision-making process.
In January of 2019, Preston earned the Certified Business Economist® (CBE) designation, which is the certification in business economics and data analytics developed by the National Association for Business Economics. The CBE documents a professional’s accomplishment, experience, and abilities, and demonstrates mastery of the body of knowledge critical for a successful career in the field of economics and data analytics.
In 2021, Preston earned a Master of Science in Economics from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. His studies were concentrated in Financial Economics and Business and Data Analytics. Preston was designated as a Krannert Scholar upon completion of the program.
In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, being outdoors, learning the guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
