Priscilla Birt, CFP®, joined DCM in 2023 and serves as Lead Financial Planner.
Priscilla grew up in East Texas, before spending six years in West Texas for college. She attended Lubbock Christian University where she played four years of soccer and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. She then attended Texas Tech University where she spent two years earning her master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning, a CFP Board Certified Degree program.
In 2016, Priscilla began her career as an Advisor Associate with Resource Advisory Services, a small RIA in Knoxville, Tennessee. Priscilla supported the senior advisor and their clients with ongoing comprehensive financial planning items related to cash flow, income and tax, investments, risk management, retirement, and estate planning strategies. While at Resource Advisory Services, Priscilla passed the CFP Board’s exam and gained the experience required to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
In June 2020, Resource Advisory Services merged with The Mather Group, a larger RIA firm based in Chicago, where Priscilla worked as a Wealth Advisor. As a Wealth Advisor, she was the primary point of contact for clients while still practicing ongoing comprehensive financial planning.
Priscilla and her husband, Luke, met in Knoxville when they both took positions after graduating from college. They both fell in love with the town and they have called it home for the last 8 years. Priscilla and Luke have two children, Lincoln and Lucy, who they love and adore. They spend their free time with family or out in the woods hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
