Alan Van Cleef, CFP®, joined Donaldson Capital Management as a Lead Investment Advisor in 2023. Alan graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Newberry College in 1986 and immediately entered the wealth management industry. He spent nearly a decade each with SunTrust Bank (now Truist), Regions Financial, and German American Bank. Alan has worked in portfolio management, trust and estate administration, and has managed a regional trust group in Southwest Florida.
In 1999, Alan completed the CFP Board’s requirement for certification and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.
Beyond the Office
Alan has four children and lives in Montgomery, IN. He and his brothers have been involved in auto racing since the ‘80s, and he is proud to have had a NASCAR crew license and to be a Skip Barber Racing School graduate. In his spare time, Alan loves mowing, watching college football, and spending time in the great outdoors.
